Welcome to my corner of the football world! I am Jovan Maksic, a football scouting professional, performance analyst, and data specialist currently based in Cologne. My journey in football started on the pitch, spending ten years playing in Croatia. As my playing days concluded, my passion for the game seamlessly transitioned into the analytical side of football. I became fascinated by how data, tactical observation, and structured scouting could build winning teams.
Playing Experience
I played for several local football teams in Croatia. After 10 years, I moved to Belgium, where I played in the regional leagues before eventually ending my playing career.
April 2022.
Before stepping fully into the sports industry, I built a strong foundation in operations leadership. I managed production teams for major brands like BMW and Rousselot in Belgium. Leading large shifts and optimizing workflows taught me discipline, quality control, and a lean mindset.
August 2023.
My official transition into professional scouting began in Belgium. In the autumn of 2023, I took a major step forward by obtaining the Talent Scout Licence from the Royal Belgian Football Association. Around this same time, I started my very first professional scouting position evaluating youth prospects for KV Kortrijk. Traveling across Flanders and analyzing emerging talent completely hooked me on the analytical side of the sport.
International Recognition 2024.
Building on that momentum, I became a certified scout through the Professional Football Scouts Association in 2024. During the final stage of the 2023 to 2024 season, I had the incredible opportunity to deliver tactical opposition analysis for Bromley FC, contributing directly to their successful promotion campaign. Later I became member of European Association of Scouts.
July 2024.
My path then led me to Cologne, Germany, where I recently worked as a Data Producer for EA SPORTS. In that role, I managed massive datasets and ensured the highest quality of football data production for a global audience. Following that great chapter, my focus expanded as a Scouting Coordinator for SISU Sports Management, where I direct talent identification operations with a special focus on European and global markets (Americas, Australia, Asia...).
December 2025.
I developed a custom-made scouting platform for Serbian SuperLiga club and youth champions FK IMT, along with an administrative platform that streamlined documentation management and international scouting.

I became certified scout for Safeguarding Children in Football by FIFA & The FA
August 2026.
Today, I also pour my passion into my own platform, JMScout. Through JMScout Academy, I provide specialized scouting education directly to individual students. I absolutely love mentoring upcoming scouts and teaching them how to master modern tools while building proper club databases.
